iLockerz embarked on a transformative project with The University of Sheffield, a prestigious institution known for its global excellence and membership in the Russell Group. The university sought to enhance the security and charging capabilities for its robotics programme, which is integral to the students’ hands-on learning experience. Recognising the unique needs of the university, iLockerz proposed an innovative electronic locker system designed to securely store and charge robots, facilitating seamless access for students involved in advanced research and development projects.
Solution
To address these challenges, iLockerz developed a state-of-the-art electronic locker system tailored specifically for the university’s robotics program. The system comprised three large cabinets, encompassing a total of 20 locker compartments, each engineered to store and charge robots securely. A key feature of the solution was the integration of a touchscreen control panel interface, which facilitated an intuitive user experience, allowing students to interact with the system effortlessly.
To ensure the highest level of security, iLockerz incorporated a fingerprint reader access mechanism.
