Birmingham, UK – March 2025 – iLockerz, a leader in intelligent locker systems for the logistics industry, is proud to announce its return to IntraLogisteX 2025 for the fifth consecutive year. Taking place at the NEC Birmingham, this year’s exhibition will see iLockerz once again join forces with long-standing partner KeyTracker, a specialist in key management solutions for site and vehicle security, including forklift and site keys.
With over a decade of experience serving the logistics sector, iLockerz continues to transform how businesses manage critical devices and equipment. Their innovative smart locker systems are used to secure and manage everything from handheld scanners and boom microphones to ring scanners, PDAs, and mobile printers—helping logistics teams stay connected, efficient, and fully operational.
This year, iLockerz will be showcasing its latest ECO smart locker systems and digital integrations that streamline asset management, reduce downtime, and improve accountability across warehouse and distribution environments.
Supporting Digital Transformation at Jaguar Land Rover
A standout example of iLockerz’s impact can be seen in its recent collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), where the company played a pivotal role in one of the UK’s largest industrial innovation projects. As part of JLR’s major rollout of SAP, the global enterprise software system, the automaker undertook a digital transformation of its logistics operations to match the efficiency of its world-class production lines.
To support this, iLockerz deployed eight advanced ECO locker systems at the Halewood site, helping manage over 200 Honeywell CT45 devices with pistol grips. These lockers enabled secure storage, charging, and automated issuance of critical devices, ensuring staff always had access to fully charged and operational equipment.
Key features such as Last-In, Last-Out (LILO) device issuance, USB-C smart charging, access control integration, and real-time usage tracking dramatically improved asset availability and accountability. The system also helped eliminate common issues around device loss, misuse, and downtime.
“Implementing the iLockerz ECO locker systems has been a game-changer for JLR operations,” said James Mulholland, Senior Operations Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover. “The seamless integration and ease of use have significantly enhanced our team's efficiency… This technology has not only simplified our processes but also fostered a sense of accountability among our team members.”
With JLR now considering a wider rollout across additional sites, the success at Halewood demonstrates iLockerz’s capability to scale and adapt across large, complex organisations.
Solving Growth Challenges at Oakland International
Another notable success story comes from Oakland International, a multi-award-winning third-party logistics (3PL) provider specialising in temperature-controlled storage, packing, and distribution. Supporting major brands such as Tesco and Waitrose, Oakland has experienced rapid growth, which brought along operational challenges—most notably, handheld scanners regularly going missing or not being returned properly.
To address these issues and improve device accountability, Oakland removed traditional storage cupboards and introduced iLockerz systems at three of their main UK sites. These intelligent lockers now provide secure, trackable storage with item scan verification, ensuring that scanners are always available and ready to go. The move has significantly reduced lost equipment and time spent searching for devices, allowing the team to maintain high levels of service even during peak operations.
